B+T: Why are you crying?

The sky was dark but the city was bright with all of its street and building lights, lighting up the night. Even so, it was better than being out in the sunlight to Eli. For a nocturnal being, the sun could be even more blinding than when a regular person looks up at it.

He was taking his nightly stroll beside the creek that ran just outside of the city, and he could still hear the sounds of city life from over here. He was pretty much used to it though. He was wearing a hoodie, which was pretty rare in his case. He normally doesn't wear any tops when he's around his family or friends. It's only the occasion of when he's walking around outside that he wears something, in case a mortal sees him.

He stopped suddenly, spotting a lone figure as it jogged over to the creek ahead and stopped to bend over to catch its breath. He tilted his head and kept walking that way, hoping to catch a glimpse before it moved away. As he got closer, he could see that the figure was a mortal girl. She was breathing heavily from possibly jogging or running all the way there, and...she was crying.

Eli blinked at this realization and wondered why this girl was all alone out here and crying. He walked over to her and she eventually noticed she wasn't alone. She stood up straight and tried wiping away her tears as they flowed down her cheeks.

"What's a girl like you doin' out here alone?" He asked when he got close enough, sounding concerned for her. Which was true, her crying made him a little concerned.

The girl looked at him and then shook her head, making her bangs and braids swish with her head movement.

Eli stepped closer to her and reached out a calm hand, wiping a tear that rolled down her cheek. "Why are you cryin'?"

The girl stared at him in surprise and shock as more tears fell, and it was obvious that she couldn't stop them. She sniffled and closed her eyes before hugging him suddenly, burying her face in his hoodie.

Eli blinked in surprise for a moment before wrapping his arms around her, rubbing calming circles on her back as he allowed her to cry into his chest. He wasn't able to find out the cause of her troubles, but maybe he'd be able to find out when she calmed down some and try to help her. It might sound strange coming from him, but he wanted her to feel better.

Aww, lookie~ I wrote a little fluff there :3 Ain't it cute?

Lol I'm having fun drawing and writing these ^.^ even though the picture itself takes even more of my time than usual o.o all of that unusual shading I'm not used to...still working on my hair shading, I think I'm getting better :3

And yep! The girl is someone I adopted a long while ago but never got to use. I won't tell you her name yet because it'll come in the next picture ^.^ And I decided to name the vampire guy Eli :3 Ethan was another good name I found but I didn't wanna feel like I was stealing from Nikkie, so I chose Eli instead lol

The girl's pretty tan ain't she? I had just noticed that when I had started drawing her XD I hadn't really noticed it before when I adopted her lol also, she's quite short compared to Eli...I wonder if I'll be able to show that in a future picture...
